FIBEGA opens submissions for the Second Annual Gastronomy Tourism Awards!
We are pleased to announce that submissions for 2nd Annual Gastronomy Tourism Awards have officially opened. After much success following the 1st awards in 2019, FIBEGA announces the categories and the application process. The awards will be presented during the weekend of May 15 – 17, 2020 during the FIBEGA International Gastronomy Tourism Fair in Miami, Florida, USA.
 
The organizers have recognized the importance of acknowledging the regions and institutions that are playing a role in the contribution to the industry on a broader scale. Those that are bringing further awareness to gastronomy tourism as the sector continues to expand. The awards aim is to recognize excellence in both private and public institutions that have promoted and/or enhanced the gastronomy tourism model.
 
The 2020 awards will be comprised of 5 categories with 19 sub-segments that will range from categories like Emerging Enotourism Destination and Innovative Destination. This year welcomes the addition of categories as Best Sustainable Gastronomy Destination and Best Cruise Line Gastronomy Experience. For a complete list of the categories click here.

Selection and judging process will consist of an international jury that includes a diverse group of professionals from the gastronomy tourism and travel sector.

Eligibility Criteria: Any region, business, private or public institution or professional directly involved in the tourism sector and that acknowledges the importance of cultivating gastronomy tourism within the tourism sector.
